There’s only 2 days left before the end of the financial year! Ilona is currently raising funds to help her host her biggest exhibition yet and it’s going to be such a special show.
It features her portraits of 26 artists accompanied by work by each of the sitters. There’s also a fantastic program of events including a live drawing installation and performance by Gosia Wlodarczak, a panel hosted by the Women’s Art Register and Maria from the Talking With Painters podcast will be recording live in the exhibition with artist Jacqui Stockdale!
Thank you so much to everyone that has contributed so far. All funds raised go towards covering the costs of the exhibition at Town Hall Gallery 1st September – 21st October. Along with sponsorship and support from the gallery, all exhibiting artists will get paid an artwork loan fee. Not only does Ilona want gender equality but for artists to get paid for their time and work.
So please, if you can, make a tax deductible donation and share the link with your friends to help Ilona smash her target! You’re not only supporting the artists in this exhibition, but all of the 100+ This Wild Song artists and helping us create change. Thank you!!
This Saturday we’re hosting a This Wild Song forum with artists Filomena Coppola, Lily Mae Martin and Charlotte Watson speaking about their work and drawing as a language. Join us for afternoon tea and bring your questions! It’s free to attend, book your seat HERE.
Ilona was recently interviewed by Gina Milicia for her podcast So You Think You Want To Be a Photographer! Ilona and Gina chat about art, photography and being a professional artist, and you can listen to it HERE.
