In this weekend workshop Sophie will share her knowledge and experience of making teapots with demonstrations and individual assistance to participants.
Day one will focus on throwing development with the creation of teapot bodies, galleries, lids, spouts and handles. Day two will look at the intricacies of teapot construction and alternative designs and ideas.
There will be discussion about function and design practicalities, glazing and decorating possibilities and the importance of personal creative expression.
This workshop is suitable for potters with throwing experience. Clay provided, feel free to bring your favourite tools if preferred.
