MONOTYPE AND THE FIGURE is a one day workshop where you’ll be introduced to the beauty of mono printing!
A monotype is a printmaking technique created by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface such as glass. Master Printer Adrian Kellett will share his extensive knowledge of printmaking and teach you the properties of ink, paper, pressure, and how to create a beautiful print. In the morning we will focus on the technical and practical aspects of mono printing, you will then have an opportunity to put it all into practice by making a series of prints working with a life model.
Once completing this workshop you will be able to utilise this technique in our Casual Life Drawing sessions and extend your life drawing practice.
