This 8-week course covers the primary techniques of handbuilding ceramic forms: pinching coiling, slab-building and carving, plus the use of slips and glazes.
As well as introducing open-ended exercises applying each of these techniques, your tutor will share inspiring visual and textual references that speak to the historical precedents for, and expressive connotations of, each ceramic method.
This class is open to all skill levels, suitable for complete beginners to experienced. All materials are provided.
